Amarnath Yatra 2014

Online booking of helicopter tickets for this year's Amarnath yatra commenced on March 27. The Amarnath pilgrimage will be 11 days shorter than 2013. The 44-day long annual yatra in south Kashmir Himalayas will begin on June 28 this year.

Pilgrims, who wish to avail the service for pilgrimage, are not required to seek advance registration through the designated bank branches as their tickets shall be treated as yatra permits.

But the pilgrims can use this service only after producing compulsory health certificate issued by authorised doctors and institutes notified by respective state governments.

Also, with one credit and debit Card, a maximum of five passengers shall be booked. The same card cannot be used for booking of tickets for next three weeks.

The card used for booking shall have to be reproduced at the time of issuance of boarding pass.

Also the Registrations for Shri Amarnath Yatra 2014 to the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnath are made against a prescribed Registration Fom. The Requisite Application Form is now available online to all the Yatris who wish to undertake the Yatra as well as through branches of various banks like J&K Bank, State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, YES Bank, HDFC etc.

Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board has issued very clear advisories to inform every intending Yatri about the requirement of obtaining the prescribed 'Compulsory Health Certificate' from the authorized Doctors/ Medical Institutes.Yatris (Pilgrims) while seeking registration for Shri Amarnath Yatra 2014.
